Hello!

I'm Rachel and I write to you from the unceded territory of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil- Waututh) Nations. Also known as the beautiful west coast city of Vancouver, BC, I feel grateful to live and work on this land.

Equal parts serious and playful, my goal is to leverage all my learnings and experiences into teachings and services that help others. There is a lot of noise and distraction in this world, and I help people find calm in the chaos of every day life.

My Core Self

  • Values and Purpose driven

  • Collaboration, inclusivity, accessibility

  • Curiosity

  • Generosity

  • Love, Kindness, Compassion

  • Extroverted Introvert

  • Live music

  • Travel

  • The Great Outdoors

Experience

Much of my professional life has been  in the world of wellness. For over 15 years I've worked for a number of wellness companies in these areas:

  • learning and development

  • people and culture

  • coaching and mentoring

  • facilitation

  • event planning and execution

My qualifications include:

  • Certified Leadership Coach

  • Hatha Yoga YTT 200

  • Usui Reiki levels 1 and 2; level 3 in progress

Study

With curiosity as a core value, learning will never cease for me. In my twenties in University, I began to study psychology. While I did not complete my degree, my three years of study led me to one of my greatest passions: Human Potential.

I am currently studying 2 systems that tap us into our potential: the Enneagram and the Gene Keys. I have studied the Enneagram for 8 years and have taught others about it for 6 years.

My spiritual study includes:

  • Buddhism, specifically Soto Zen

  • wisdom teachings relating to self-awareness

  • yogic philosophy, lineages and traditions

  • how compassion can alleviate suffering in the world

Practice + Play

For me, practice and play are linked. If I'm taking myself too seriously, I know that I need to take a breath and sprinkle in some more fun and adventure. Each of us is whole and it is our birthright to operate as integrated beings.

Laughter really is medicine and part of being my truest self is allowing myself to express through dance, song, written word, movement, poetry and more.

I have written and scrapped so many bios over the past couple year. I believe this is evidence of my and of our ever-expanding nature.

How can we ever write everything about our beautiful lives in a couple of short paragraphs?

I am deeply in love with my journey and my goal is to help others fall in love with their own lives.

Whatever your journey, I believe in you and, it would be a privilege to connect.

Much love - thank you for visiting!

Rachel
